Types of Storage Sheds

Choosing the right type of storage shed depends on the building function, climate, and the architecture around you. The most common type:

Gable roof storage shed- Widely used for its simplicity and adaptability to any climate. A gable has two equal pitches that meet at a center ridge.

Gambrel roof storage shed- Gambrel is designed to look like a barn. There are two seperate pitches for both sides of the roof. The gambrel provides more useable space than most other storage sheds.

Lean-to roof storage shed- Lean-to roof has a single slope from the front of the storage shed to the back. The lean-to is often used for narrow storage sheds.

Salt box- The salt box is basically a gable with two unequal roof pitches.
